Milan “Minja” Sretenovic directs and manages Minja’Sound LLC, a music production firm offering live audio engineering, recording, mixing and mastering that is focused on the long-term growth of the artist. Although the studio is in Austin, TX, the “live music capital of the world”, Minja was born and lived in Serbia until 2003. After receiving his Bachelor in Economics, he spent 12 years in marketing before moving to the US to follow his passion. He left behind his band, his family & friends and even a bar that he co-owned, but he was driven to pursue a dream. Although English was his second language, he earned his associate degree in Commercial Music Business from Austin Community College (ACC) and started his sound engineering career. He has worked at The Parish as a sound engineer for more than ten years with artist such as Tito Puente Jr., Speak, Sara Bareilles, Alpha Rev and Blind Date. In addition, he now shares his passion with students every day as an audio professor at ACC with an emphasis on giving students a skill they can immediately put to work. “They gave me an opportunity to improve on every single aspect of my career,” says Sretenovic. “I just wanted to give back.”
He is a sound engineer and music producer with the heart of a teacher.
